Had to duck into the tent early because the skeeters were insane! Well, I finally made it to the Pasayten Wilderness.
Broke camp by 7:30 and was back in Yachats before 9 AM. Had an awesome breakfast at the Drift Inn. Sat in a nice semi-outdoor courtyard area.
I found a nice little thru hiker style camp right next to the Amanda trail about halfway between the statue and the Lookout on top of Cape Perpetua.
Well, I made it to Beachside state park. It definitely is beachside, nestled in a very narrow strip of trees between the beach and the highway.
I am camped in the quite full hiker/biker camp at South Beach state park. Luckily I arrived early and got a good corner spot.
Back on the trail again after much indecision. This time I drove to Corvallis and parked near OSU and took the bus to Newport.
Last day and out early to beat the bugs. Had coffee on trail and still many, many bugs!
I’m camped at a mystery location somewhere near Pacific city. It’s a nice spot in the woods with my tent set up on some nice thick moss.
Well I made it to Cape Lookout mostly intact. I did develop a nice blister on my pinky toe.
