Timberline Lodge sure is a nice place to hang out, especially when the weather is this sucky.
I’m camped about a half to three-quarters of a mile shy of Barlow Pass. That only leaves about 6 to 6.5 miles to Timberline
I am camped at Timothy Lake after doing 25 miles today! Yikes—my feet are sore and blistered.
It looks like I did 18.5 miles today on trail plus a few short side trips. I’m camped at mile 2050.5 just a little way past a very welcoming spring north of Jude Lake.
I’m on the trail again. I started at Woodpecker again but headed north to Timberline Lodge. I hit the PCT at mile 2027
I just got done chowing down on an Elk Lake Resort burger and sweet potato fries. I could barely finish it! I washed it down with a nice cold cider.
Wow, last night was ugly! It’s a good thing I had a good wind break in camp cause it was howling all night long. When it wasn’t raining, it was blowing mist.
Well, I set up camp early because there was a momentary break in the weather—rain that is—lots of it. It started just before I got down to McKenzie Pass.
I’m not sure where I’m camped right now, but I hiked for about an hour-and-a-half after leaving Big Lake at 4:00pm.
